Bengal Pro T20 League 2026: Schedule, Teams, Points Table, Winners, and Complete History

The Bengal Pro T20 League 2026 (Season 3) returns from 5 June to 21 June 2026, with all matches streamed live on JioHotstar.
Organised by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) under the leadership of CAB President Sourav Ganguly, the third edition features 8 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams competing across 31 matches over 17 days.
Men’s matches take place at the historic Eden Gardens, Kolkata, while the women’s competition is held at the Jadavpur University Salt Lake Campus.
The Adamas Howrah Warriors enter as defending champions after their thrilling 9-run win over Murshidabad Kings in the 2025 final at Eden Gardens.
Season 3 also welcomes Novus Royals Purulia, the newest franchise to join the ecosystem, replacing Harbour Diamonds from the first two seasons. The opening match on 5 June at 7:00 PM features the Adamas Howrah Warriors taking on Novus Royals Purulia at Eden Gardens.

History of the Bengal Pro T20 League

The Bengal Pro T20 League was launched in 2024 by the Cricket Association of Bengal to provide a professional franchise platform for Bengal’s domestic cricket talent. It is one of India’s premier state-run T20 tournaments and was notable for being the first state-run league to introduce a dedicated women’s T20 competition alongside the men’s, running both events as equal partners from inception. CAB President Sourav Ganguly has been instrumental in shaping the league’s identity and growth.

Season 1

Season 1 (2024): Joint Champions Crowned in a Rain-Hit Final

The inaugural Bengal Pro T20 League ran in June 2024 with 8 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams. The men’s final was repeatedly interrupted by rain and could not produce a result, so the Adamas Howrah Warriors and Murshidabad Kings were declared joint champions. The Warriors and Kings established themselves as the league’s two strongest franchises in the very first season.
In the women’s tournament, the Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers beat the Murshidabad Kueens in a low-scoring thriller to win the inaugural title. The Tigers posted 110/5 and bowled the Kueens out for 105/9.

Season 2

Season 2 (2025): Adamas Howrah Warriors Claim Outright Title

Season 2 ran from 11 June to 28 June 2025, with 31 men’s matches and 31 women’s matches. In the men’s final at Eden Gardens, the Adamas Howrah Warriors beat the Murshidabad Kings by 9 runs to claim their first outright title. Howrah posted 150/9 (Shakir Habib Gandhi 31, Aditya Purohit 30, Arindam Ghosh 26), and despite Tanmoy Pramanick’s 33-ball 48 for Murshidabad, the Kings finished on 141/8. Kanisk Seth was the standout bowler with 3/39, supported by Saksham Sharma (2/36).
The win was sweet redemption after the rain-affected 2024 joint-title result. The Warriors finally had a final they could call their own.

Bengal Pro T20 League 2026: All 8 Men’s Teams

Eight franchises representing different regions of West Bengal compete in Season 3. Each team carries a regional catchment, ensuring talent from across the state has a pathway to professional T20 cricket.

Team Profiles

Adamas Howrah Warriors (Defending Champions)

The defending champions after their 9-run win over Murshidabad Kings in the 2025 final. The Warriors have appeared in both finals (joint champions in 2024, outright champions in 2025), making them the most consistent men’s franchise in the league. They open Season 3 against Novus Royals Purulia on 5 June at 7:00 PM at Eden Gardens. Squad strengthened by retaining Writtick Chatterjee for Rs 8.20 lakh.

Murshidabad Kings

Joint 2024 champions and 2025 runners-up. The Kings represent Murshidabad and Nadia districts and are arguably the most successful men’s franchise alongside Howrah. Tanmoy Pramanick was the standout of the 2025 final with 48 off 33 balls. They added Saksham Chaudhary for Rs 8.40 lakh in the 2026 auction.

Kolkata Royal Tigers (formerly Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers)

Representing Kolkata, the franchise rebranded ahead of Season 3. The women’s side won the 2024 inaugural Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League title. The men’s team made the 2025 semi-final, losing to Adamas Howrah Warriors. They acquired Abhishek Porel for Rs 10.40 lakh, the second-highest bid at the 2026 auction.

Shrachi Tribes Rarh Tigers

Representing the Rarh region, the Rarh Tigers made the league’s biggest splash at the 2026 auction by retaining Shahbaz Ahmed for Rs 12.20 lakh (RTM), the highest amount ever paid in Bengal Pro T20 League history. The all-rounder brings IPL pedigree and headlines a squad built for a deep playoff run.

Sobisco Smashers Malda

Representing Malda district. They topped the 2024 league stage points table. Their 2026 squad is headlined by India fast bowler Mukesh Kumar (Rs 9.60 lakh RTM) and Easwaran Abhimanyu (Rs 8 lakh).

Servotech Siliguri Strikers

Representing Siliguri and North Bengal. They retained India fast bowler Akash Deep for Rs 3 lakh (RTM), although his participation depends on rehabilitation. Karan Lal was acquired for Rs 8 lakh as a marquee signing.

Rashmi Nes Medinipur Wizards

Representing Medinipur (East and West Midnapore). The Wizards bring a deep bowling unit. Subham Sarkar was acquired for Rs 4.80 lakh.

Novus Royals Purulia (NEW)

Sourav Ganguly unveiled Novus Royals Purulia as the league’s newest franchise in April 2026, replacing Harbour Diamonds. The Purulia-based outfit invested aggressively at the auction, signing Sudip Gharami (Rs 9.40 lakh), Yuvraj Keswani (Rs 8.60 lakh), and U19 sensation Ravi Kumar (Rs 7.80 lakh, the highest U19 bid). They also acquired the league’s youngest signing, 16-year-old Rohit, for Rs 5.20 lakh.

Why the Bengal Pro T20 League Matters

Built Around Equal Men’s and Women’s Competitions

The Bengal Pro T20 League was the first state league in India to launch a dedicated women’s T20 tournament alongside the men’s, treating both as equal partners. With 8 women’s franchises competing across 31 matches, the league has set the benchmark for inclusive state-level cricket.

Sourav Ganguly’s Direct Involvement

As CAB President, Sourav Ganguly personally drives the league’s strategic direction. His involvement has attracted serious commercial partners, top broadcasters (JioHotstar), and credibility that few state leagues can match.

Pipeline to IPL and India

Past editions have featured India internationals (Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, Shahbaz Ahmed, Abhishek Porel) alongside emerging talent. The auction format introduced in 2026 makes the player pathway more transparent and competitive than ever.

Eden Gardens as the Sole Men’s Venue

Hosting all 31 men’s matches at the iconic Eden Gardens gives the league a singular, world-class home. Few state leagues operate from a venue with this history and capacity.

Investment in Youth Talent

The 2026 auction was the first in the league’s history to include U16 and U19 categories for men, alongside U15 and U16 brackets in the women’s auction. This proactive youth investment is a cornerstone of CAB’s long-term cricket development model.
